prod_paint.jpgYOLO Colorhouse is a new collection of interior paints, created with naturally occurring elements. The paints have zero volatile organic compounds and a durable finish similar to what you'd expect from conventional paint. You can be assured there will be no fumes present — its especially good for painting a baby's room for example. Their "Earth’s Color Collection" is available in 40 colors designed specifically for interiors. The price is $33 for light hues and $35 for dark hues. ::

All 'water based' paint contains a large amount of acrylates which give it the characeristic smell. The base white pigment is generally titanium dioxide (once upon a time it was lead oxide), which also can be found in nature as is. So what's left but the tints, which are only a few weight percent and which in ordinary paints also can be made of naturally occurring minerals (iron oxide for brown and some reds for example). I guess I don't see a reason to spend any extra on a product is so close to the standard issue. Am I missing something here?

Its the VOC level that is big difference. These are Zero VOC paints, which technically means "very few VOCs".
