Lithistone Sinks: Non-Toxic Cement

The people at Lithistone Design will tell you that not all cement is created equal. They fabricate handcrafted sinks out of a magnesium-based mineral cement compound that is stronger and more durable than concrete, and takes less energy to produce. The company uses only non-synthetic mineral pigments and food-grade sealers to finish the sinks. Their vessel sinks (seen here) start at $550. Each vessel is casted in a mold, then hand carved and polished. They also make integral sinks and countertops. :: Lithistone
