We mentioned Shigeru Ban's architecture previously on Treehugger, but he designs furniture too. His Carta Series of furniture is primary constructed with recycled materials (cardboard tubes) with an underlying white beech structure. This lounge is manufactured by the Italian company Cappellini — it was designed for them by Shigeru Ban in 1999. It's available for $1731 from Unica Home. :: Sigeru Ban Architects
