Cardboard Chair Company

To most people cardboard is that lowly stuff used to make packing boxes. But in the hands of the family-owned parent company, Levy Design and Manufacturing, it becomes high-end furniture. Their multilayered creations have a minumum of 30% recycled fibre content and are free of formaldehyde, using instead low VOC, water based adhesives. Made with diecutting technology and industrial laminating techniques, the pieces receive a fine sanding, to give a softer finish. At $420 USD, this Low Stool, does equal service as a side table and qualifies for their own tag of “functional art.” ::Cardboard Chair Company and see more cool cardboard chair concepts at ::"Re-Furnished" Recycled Cardboard Chairs from University of Idaho Student Designers

I would prefer that this company weren't (a) shamelessly ripping off Frank Gehry's designs (that's his "wiggle" stool you have pictured), and, (b) using only a token amount of recycled content.
& charging like a wounded bull at the same time.
That's too bad that they're ripping people off like that in the name of recycling. That $420 stool looks like, well...stool.
the stool of a wounded bull perhaps
They seem to have lots of other designs, too -- much of which is original and isn't Gehry's designs.
"Lots of other designs"? They appear to have a total of 8 products, 4 of which are direct copies of Gehry designs. I'm just saying...
Yeah, some of their stuff looks just like Gehry's, but their side chair is like 1/3 the price of the Gehry cardboard chair Vitra is selling - so who's ripping off who?
A beautiful, elegant piece of furniture from a family-run business that knows what great customer service is all about.
cool!

what do you mean who is ripping off who? are you insane, its f. gehrys design HE MADE IT do you undertand what everyone else is trying to explain?
It sucks that they are asking so much money for his design but origenally they were sold at a resonable price, but appart from this point, i still dont understand your way of thinking, is ripping off peoples creations something we should applaud? im still amazed at the ammount of bs in this page..
I like their stuff - why be so bitter about a company? Are you saying that any company making anything designed by somebody else is "ripping them off"? Weren't the original Gehry chairs made like 35 years ago? Don't design patents only last like 15 years or so? The question really is, do you like what they do, or do you not? They're making a beautiful product that's environmentally friendly - so I like what they do.
make beter chairs (ones that we can do at school)
what kind of chair is that?!?
