Colombian 'Art Coco' Bowls

by Paula Alvarado, Buenos Aires on 07.12.05
Design & Architecture (kitchen)

positos1.jpg Well, actually Colombia based company Art Coco does more than just bowls with sandpaper-polished coconut shells, but aren't these cute? with those sweet strings across them... They're called Masinga, and we just can't get our eyes off them, and the matching saltcellars (in the extended). No need to say coconut shell is a very resistant natural material with good qualities for holding solids, and is washable and durable. "Bring home the natural perfection", as Art Coco says. In the English version of the site there's a list of stores where you can get them (most in Colombia, but also in Miami), and if you're abroad, they can ship it wherever, only need to send an e-mail through the "Contact" form. ::Art Coco
