Red Bull Dragsterday - Human-Powered Drag Racing

by Michael Graham Richard, Gatineau, Canada on 06. 3.05
Take Action (events)

redbulldragster-01.jpgThe first Red Bull Dragsterday event will be held on September 10th of this year and, for now, the proposed location is Detroit. Applications must be sent, along with a sketch of your dragster, before June 15th. The rules are simple: Your dragster must be human powered (by up to 5 people), less than 6 feet wide and 20 feet long (!) and created by yourself. The dragsters will be judged on speed (duh) and creativity (that's good!), and prizes of $7500, $3000 and $1500 will go to the top three dragsters. There's also a people's choice prize, but it's still unknown what it will be ("a mystery wrapped inside an enigma"). the whole thing promises to be a load of fun for everybody involved, so what are you waiting for?
