It's teeny. It's very very cute. It goes 18 MPH for 18 miles on a charge. It's made of surgical grade stainless steel. It's less than a thousand bucks US. Looks like a nice ride! ::Ikoo Scooter via ::Red Ferret

I actually looked into this when I was planning on taking the train too and from work. The train station is about 5 miles from my office, and this little thing would be perfect to fit on the train and carry me too and from work.
But, alas, I don't have $1,000 bucks to spend on it and it is actually cheaper to drive 40 miles each way to work than to take the train.
Or you can get a nice bicycle that lasts as many miles as you can ride.
I remember seeing this awhile ago which is a similar product AND significantly cheaper:

it's as much as a nice bicycle...oh the decisions!
I actually own both the citymantis and the ikoo. Frankly, they cannot be compared. The ikoo is so much well built & much more powerful (600w). I think $1000 is relatively reasonable with the stainless steel chasis, dual disk brakes and most importantly - so cool looking.
The citymantis looks cheap and it is made in china. in terms of value for money, the ikoo is way better at $1000.
How about a Dahon Roo EL folding electric bicycle?
Costs $1400, weighs 37 pounds, pedals beautifully, and looks good.
