FedEx Furniture

Strange but true: FedEx Furniture is constructed with empty FedEx boxes, and held together by FedEx packaging supplies. It's an example of ultraminimalist Freeganism. Jose, the builder of the furniture, says:

All of the furniture seen on my website 100% functional. The couch is standing/sleeping approved, I sleep on the bed every night, I eat at the dining table, and I work at the desk almost 20 hours a day.

These designs are so neat. Wonder if Fedex would like some for their lobbies. Almost any Fine Arts student can remember their cardboard chair project from 3D design class. It's a staple in Americna art schools.

But wait!!! Before you get all excited!!! Federal Express has something to say about this furniture. Apparently, Federal Express is taking Jose Avila, the maker of the fedex furniture, to the courts. Talk about frivolous court cases...

I think the furniture shows a wonderful imagination. And personally, I don't see why Fedex would be so upset. If nothing else, it's free advertising for them. Something is wrong with those people anyway. I have a friend that is having a terrible time with them right now collecting on a package they distroyed. It was worth quite a bit and they are really not wanting to take care of it. It's been months. And it was insured.
I think these big mailing services are getting to big for their britches. The other mailing service, the one with the yellow trucks, are outsourcing all their customer services to India and some other places. I hate that when they do that. Our business should stay here and they should take good care with their customers.
Nothing makes sense anymore.
