Rainwater Richard

label.jpg After our post yesterday about rainwater harvesting, Treehugger Geoff tipped us about Rainwater Richard, who established Tank Town, builds rainwater collection systems and started America's only rainwater bottling plant. He had quite a struggle getting it approved for sale (Notwithstanding Dr. Coombe's statements that it is purer than mains water, people are concerned about rain water purity) but after putting in a sophisticated filtering system is able to sell it bottled-its available online. He writes a good website too. ::Richards Rainwater by [LA]

I was at a Japanese market yesterday, and saw "deep ocean water" in the bottled section. It was kinda funny to see "never exposed to sunlight" ... and I forget whatever else ... as an attribute. This is a reverse-osmosis product, which makes me think they might have some choice, and some limitations in what they can and cannot remove from the ocean water. FWIW.
