Paper Softwall Room Divider by Molo Design

Design & Architecture (less is more)

softwall 78 1.jpgSo you are sharing that big open loft and sometimes there is nothing you crave more than a bit of privacy, but you do not want to build permanent, heavy or immoveable partitions. You need the Paper Softwall from Vancouver's Molo design. Its made of 400 honeycombed layers of fire-retardant tranlucent paper, it dampens sound, absorbs and transmits light and is modularly expandible, folding out from only 3 centimetres to 7.5 metres. We love its "less is more" attributes but cannot attest to the source and type of paper, nor the nature of the fireproofing. Now in the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art. ::molodesign by[LA] via Now Magazine.
