We talk about William McDonough a lot at Treehugger- his architectural firm practices ecologically, socially, and economically intelligent architecture and planning in the U.S. and abroad. He is also co-author of the extremely important "Cradle to Cradle- Remaking the Way We Make Things". The standards of sustainability they talk about in the book was used as the inspiration for the C2C competition.
