The Sweater Stone

sweater-stone.jpg We all get frustrated when we spend money on sweaters and then not long after they start to pill. What’s the first thought? Send it off to the drycleaner. But wait! We have a natural, healthy alternative to drycleaning and it can save you hundreds of dollars as well. The Sweater Stone is made from all natural pumice and was created to restore the look of knits and sweaters without having to use those harsh chemicals. It can be found in department and drug stores and other various locations, but our suggestion would be to go to their site. Because they are 100% confident that you’ll love their product, you can get the Sweater Stone for free – all you have to do is pay $4.99 for shipping & handling ($6.99 outside the US). We think it'd make a great gift too. ::The Sweater Stone [by KD]

I fail to see how encouraging pumice mining is 'green' at all. It may be a shade better than traditional dry cleaning, but it is still strip mining a non-renewable resource. Why can't you just live with 'pills' on your sweater?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't pumice volcanic rock, and doesn't involve any strip mining at all?
