LOHAS 9 presents the Outstanding Sustainable Style Awards (TreeHugger nominated!)
by TreeHugger on 04.12.05
The Sustainable Style Foundation is pleased to announce LOHAS 9 as the presenting sponsor and host for the 2nd annual Outstanding Sustainable Style Achievement (OSSA) Awards, to be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at The Ritz Carlton Hotel in Marina Del Rey, California. The award ceremony is held...
...each year in April to coincide with the many Earth Day celebrations taking place around the world.
The OSSA Awards recognize outstanding social and environmental efforts across the many and diverse style and design industries that help us all "look fabulous, live well and do good". The OSSAs are designed to showcase the amount and breadth of sustainability efforts underway in style industries, as well as foster cross-industry awareness and inspiration. They are one of the few places where stylemakers, community organizations, businesses and government come together to celebrate the many ways we can make positive change in the world as we express ourselves in our individual style choices. Above all, the OSSAs provide incredible role models for us all to look up to.
Congratulations to Treehugger.com, nominated in the 'Communication & Communication Design' category, for their hip and stylish blog. Winners will be announced at the OSSA Awards event, hosted by Sharon Lawrence, at LOHAS 9 Forum's closing reception, and in SSF's online publication, SASS Magazine.

What no comments yet? Treehugger is so cool, so hip and so trendy, while LOHAS is about as stuffy and elitist as they come - a wealthy, selfish, conservative, stiff upper lip, hot and bothered under the collar, straight laced organization... it's almost like mixing oil and vinegar... (Come on, $35 for a 60 page magazine?!?) But you got my vote... I just hope LOHAS doesn't corrupt the young and unruly... as we all know new order can only grow out of KAOS... hope this friendly quirp doesn't hurt your chances... you can always click delete... :)
