Local Harvest

This is one website that we use all the time to find various things, but when the tip came in from Guillermo P. we thought it was time to write a little something about it. Local Harvest lists thousands of small farms all over the U.S. that sell directly to the consumer. With the map that’s provided, you can locate farmers' markets, family farms, locally grown produce, grass-fed meats, and other sources of sustainably grown food. In the Local Harvest store, you can search and buy items directly from their site that you might not be able to find in your average store such as pet needs and textiles to name a few. One other great feature about this site that we love is the fact that we can search through a list of organic restaurants that are either local or if we’re planning a trip to, say, Hawaii. We just named a few things Local Harvest offers – see for yourself! ::Local Harvest [by KD]
