Of course, in other parts of the world, bikes are such an obvious and everyday form of transport, not sport, that people don’t even think twice about them. Take India, for example, where the sheer number of bikes inspired designer Nani Marquina to create a new carpet collection made from recycled bicycle inner tubes, called Bicicleta.
