Gspann Fruitbowl and Recycling-Can

TH_gspann_031705.jpg A big part of tree-hugging is using minimal materials in beautiful products. And when it comes to holding things, you can't get much more minimal than a plastic bag. Unfortunately, you can't get much more ugly either. Lucky for us, the designers at Gspann have cooked up these beautiful, minimal little numbers for turning your produce and plastic bags into great looking trashcans and fruit bowls.

Made of carefully formed steel banding, these airy designs fold flat for super-efficient shipping. Easy shipping means easy on the oil usage, which we like. Once you get them home, they fan out to make a home for your oranges or crumpled late-night love note revisions. Even better, they're easy on your wallet.

I use my plastic mesh produce bags, you know like oranges or onions come in, as produce bags. Carry them in my backpack and use them at the grocery store over and over again, as I keep on telling you.

Plastic bags from the grocery store I'm now using as garbage bags in my 5 gallon garbage can. They work just fine.
