Couch Easy Chair by Elmar Flottoto

elmar_flototto_sofa_jan_05.jpgThe Couch easy chair, by German designer Elmar Flototto isn’t the most beautiful thing in the world, but it is way eco, and in the right surroundings, we think you could totally make it work. Made of a cellular textile structure (woohoo!), the chair, which also has a matching couch and bench, is built with only the outer shell, and ships the same way. When it arrives at its destination, it’s filled with polystyrene balls, so it saves big time on transportation costs—to both the wallet and the Earth. For any of you ReadyMade readers out there, this would’ve been an awesome inspiration for the last issue’s MacGyver Challenge. Via ::MocoLoco ::Elmar Flottoto [by MO]
