Cameron Diaz is "Trippin'"

Travel & Nature (eco-travel)

Get stoked, because at 8 p.m. tonight, eco goes mass media. Ok, we’ll admit, we really don’t know how well people like Redman and J. Timberlake are gonna do on the eco-front, but the girl that’s bringing them together for a good cause—Cameron Diaz—seems to have some ideas up her sleeve. Traveling the globe in “Trippin,’” the unscripted, no-make-up, luxury-free program that Diaz produced, she’ll be generating interest in the environmental movement by camping out in places like Nepal and Kenya to get a closer look at the world’s various eco-systems. Tonight’s long-awaited premiere episode (it premiered last night at 10:30, but is being played again this evening) features Eva Mendez and one of those spiky-haired dudes from Blink-182 in the Royal Chitwan National Park,

the oldest in Nepal, where the do-gooders will be helping some needy crocs. Crikey! Sounds like a hoot! Potential greenwashing aside, we’re glad the issue is being touted to the 18-25-year-old set. Tune in, then get back to us and let us know what you think. Read more at ::NY Times. 8 p.m. on regular MTV. ::MTV’s “Trippin’” [by MO]

Adds a whole other dimension to celebrity attractiveness (male or female).

I have recently become a treehugger and wish that I could have been exposed to this way of thinking a long time ago. This world is so beautiful and we have to keep her alive. This show is great info on what all there is and can be done. thanks Cameron and friends.

Okay, yes: her show provides a trendy 'in' for people to be more openly envorionmentally friendly. That's super, it really is.

But look at her personally, she should not be a mouthpiece for this prolific of a show: She has 3 mansions. She makes $20million a picture, I want to know how much of that goes towards putting up her life of glitz and ritz, and how much goes to the environment and truly needy people.
