Rhoades Car - a quadcycle?
by TreeHugger on 12.10.04
We’ve done unusual bikes before. But this is something different again. Four wheels! Just like a car but without the motor, (they do offer 24V electric motors, if you wish) and said to handle the same. Check out those seats, huh. Comfy or what? They reckon the bike is easier to pedal than a traditional diamond framed bicycle and that it climbs hills like a demon. In the two person model shown here, either person or both can pedal the 36 speed gears. You can have it with a rear view mirror and a rainproof cargo box. Single person, ultility, sports and even a four person model on offer too. ::Rhoades Car [by WM]

Living green with no recycling in area?
Make this bike so it folds and fits on a bike rack, also, put a cavass floor, add fenders, steering wheel and make them affortable .
you will sell these so fast you won't be able to keep up on demand.
I can't tell you how many families I have seen on the road with four or, more bikes on a recreation vehicle, bikes that are tied to places on the vehicle where bikes aren't supposed to be, then, when families try to ochestrate a family ride it becomes a custodial nightmare to keep the family together and safe.

I would like to know if they have something with 4(four)seets?
Somebody didn't read every word. It says they make a four person model.
They are actually exceptional machines. I borrowed one once and have been trying to save for one ever since.

I have a four person Rhoades car and I have to say, please do some research before purchasing one. They are heavy and therefore hard to get moving. They are really neat and comfortable but, if you can't go as fast as a regular bike can, what is the sense in having one. There are alot of really neat two and four seaters out there, and plans also to build your own type car bike. Also, the parts for this four wheeled bike are not interchangable with other bikes, so if you want to make any modifications, it's really hard. Email me if you need any help finding out more about car-bikes, I'd be happy to help.
