Food & Health (food)

ice_cream_ball.jpgHey campers! Santa must have heard you crying about the ice cream yo-yo only being available in Japan, for--lo and behold!--TreeHugger has discovered a comparable gadget that's available right here in the U.S. of A. for good little girls and boys. Just add ice and rock salt to one end and ingredients to the other, roll the ball around for 20 minutes (soccer, anyone?) and--hoohah!--homemade ice cream. $24.95; Call to order, or click here to find a store. ::REI [by MO]

You should take out the comment about playing soccer with this, becuase it states in bold letters that you can't kick or throw this item. It's made of hard plastic, not rubber.

I love the last comment, thats so funny. I am definately buying one for my bestfriend, she loves.... ahh I know it by its real name 'football'. And the company doesn't need to worry no one will be sueing if it brakes open and spills on the pitch. My dog would be all over it before we have any evidence left. maybe I will redesign this with rubber and sell it to all the soccer mums in the US.

How about this for a "tree hugger" idea, use an old rinsed out coffe can....you add the same ingredients and still get ice cream!!! No need to shell out $25 for a plastic ball....how is that environmentally friendly anyway?

jump to top terri says:

Yeah, what is the point? You can just use the same method with coffee cans or two ziploc bags and get the same results! Why not spend the 25 bucks on something else?
