Bambu Natural Utensils

bambu_natural_utensils.JPGNo longer does your utensil drawer need to be a mish-mash of hand-me-down tools culled from across the decades. Heck, these ones look so good you wouldn’t have to hide them in a drawer. They’re stronger than wood, too, so you won’t be snapping the spoon if the cake batter gets a little too thick—Bambu (check out their bowls, too!) even claims that bamboo has a higher tensile strength than steel. They’re finished by hand with wood oil that’s natural, safe for food, and won’t scratch your pots and pans. Find a shop near you here; about $3 each at greenfeet. ::Bambu [by KK]

If you are looking for wooden utensils for toddlers, Jonathan's Spoons makes some. The ones made specifically for kids are part of his MoonSpoon line, I don't know if they are on the website but their office is really friendly and would know what you are talking about. Personally I use his Ordinary spoon or marmalade spoon to eat with. All of his stuff is handmade from wild cherry wood in Pennsylvania.
