You guys already know how we really dig Muji, and here's a cool new product from them: desktop speakers made from cardoard. They pack flat for shipping, are easy to assemble, and can be plugged into your portable CD player, MP3 player, or iPod. Available online at the Muji U.K. store; we also hear you can get 'em at the new MoMA Muji Store in NYC (not to mention these cool nyc ceramic cups by TreeHugger's founder). Why are these green? Is it only because they are made of recycled materials? How much more do they cost vs you average portable speaker and how dose sound quality compare? I would rather say forget that it is recycled out of cardboard in favor of something more durable that I would hope to never have to replace.
