For Sale By Owner: MD280 Prefab Housing Unit

by on 10. 8.04
Design & Architecture (prefab)

MD280.jpg1BR/1BATH MD280 prefab modular dwelling FSBO. Barely used. Easy to install. $39K o.b.o. No offers considerd before Oct. 14. Contact selling agent ::eBay

Since Edgar Blazona is such a modern, progressive type, he’ll be auctioning off his much-coveted MD280 prefab prototype on eBay beginning on October 14. The bidding starts at $39,000.

The major benefits of prefab are mass production, low-volume shipping, and low-waste construction. But with the MD280--Blazona’s latest largest project to date and his first to include a full kitchen and bath--an added and obvious bonus includes providing the general public with affordable, modern, efficient housing, especially when it comes to second homes and backyard rentals.

Blazona thought eBay would be the perf place to put the MD280 on the block—an open marketplace for bringing together “the best in online sales the greatest change in recent architecture,” as he puts it. Bidding closes after ten days, at which point Treehugger will be fully available to join the new owners for celebratory cocktails, wherever that may be.

Thanks to Fabprefab for keeping us posted.
