Houshman Spalted Maple Table

John Houshmand, musician, sculptor, contractor, and now designer, opened a tribeca store to showcase his furniture made from large pieces of American hardwoods (maple, cherry, elm, black walnut, and mulberry). This spalted maple dining table is rough-hewn and hand rubbed with tung oil. Houshmand gets his wood from his Delaware County farm, other local farmers or even from trees found by the roadside. We think it’s beautiful, unique and clearly durable. This table would look great in a large space, perhaps surrounded by long benches or simple, rectilinear chairs. Coolest conference table in the whole world? You can find his work at Sublime, a new environmentally conscious home furnishing retailer that is dedicated to works by American designers. Lots and lots of $. ::John Houshmand ::Sublime
