He is the first artist in residence at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC." He performed an incredible new work called Sinfonia Antarctica. DJ Spooky traveled to Antarctica with a backpack studio where he recorded the sights and sounds of icebergs, glaciers and the math of ice crystals, all of which he has mixed into an entrancing 70 minute performance. In Austin, he performed the work alongside a string trio and pianist. More to come on TreeHugger about this incredible event.
