Community activists in Kern County want California Governor Jerry Brown to get a good look at the fracking wells that are visible from their children’s playground. “We invite you to see what it really means to live with fracking by visiting our hometown,” they write in an open letter to Brown. “We know that once you know what we do, you’ll do the right thing by stopping fracking to protect our families.”

Kern is the most-fracked county in California. It also has some of the worst air pollution in the United States, according to the American Lung Association.

The campaign is actually petitioning the Governor to visit. But if he can’t come in person, then he can see it in this video, produced by 350.org and the Center on Race, Poverty & the Environment.
