A public bench that everyone would want for their street

This urban bench is just a prototype, a one-off, created by two designers. It's an eccentric and charming piece of public art too.

They made it out of the skeletons of three abandoned chairs; one found on the street and the other two at a flea market.

The chairs were deconstructed, painted white and then re-applied to a newly constructed wooden bench.

First submitted to designboom, the designers explain that "the project is conceived to symbolize a society that tends increasingly to be uniform."

We say: How can we get one for our street?
