Hauptman Lounge

Jonas Hauptman's ReSeat lounge is a wooden shell made from a composite of reconstituted Aspen tree flakes and a formaldehyde free adhesive system. The artist specifically uses Aspen wood because it's fast-growing and easy to plant and harvest. It's also immediately self-regenerating. The structural efficiency of Hauptman's parts allow him to use less wood: Instead of producing dimensional lumber boards or veneer (at best able to recover about 70% of the tree for manufacturing), his process incorporates fully 100% of the log into the final product. Sold with the ottomon. $1,175 ::Hauptman Products
