Build Your Own Pallet Armchair Designed By Pierre Vedel

There are said to be two billion pallets in circulation around the world, and two/thirds of them are only used once. Designer Pierre Vedel approaches the problem by designing a complete armchair built from exactly one of the ubiquitous pallets .

It is not that easy; there is not really a lot of wood in a pallet.

But finish it off with a few IKEA cushions and a pallet bookcase, and you have furniture for free. To top it all off, Pierre offers it as a free Creative Commons download, with Drafsight, free CAD software from Dassault.

Just be sure to listen to Owen Pallet while you do it.
