Would You Prefer Your Receipts To Be Paperless?

The New York Times reports that more and more stores are getting rid of paper receipts and offering to send electronic versions by email. This is a good thing if you don't like handling the BPA-laden thermal papers, and think Google is more secure than a shoebox, or a bad thing if you care about stores being able to track your purchases (which they are doing anyways if you use a credit card). What would you do?
