Tell Obama to Protect the Oceans
As an Illinois Senator, Obama was the sponsor of a bill that would reduce harmful mercury contamination of our waterways and seafood. A new version of the bill has been introduced in Congress, and we're hoping he'll sign it into law. Please write to Obama to tell him to continue tackling mercury pollution as well as other important ocean issues including bycatch, overfishing and ocean acidification.
World Oceans Day is on June 8, and finally this year it's getting official recognition. So let's be sure to make it a big one!
