When I was a kid on Remembrance Day (the Canadian version of Memorial Day) my grandmother would take me down to the Cenotaph at City Hall and I would see thousands of World War II vets, hundreds of WWI vets and a smattering of survivors of the Boer War. Now the day is barely noticed. Steve McCallion at Fast Company thinks times have changed, that parades are no longer relevant, and that the holiday needs reinvention.
