We Need Bigger Sidewalks to Avoid the "Pedestrian Crush"

A Plea From the Heart by Mark Gorton
Mark Gorton of StreetFilms went to 34th & 7th Avenue in New York City to show us how the fight for space between automobiles and pedestrians is playing out. And sadly, it seems that the pedestrians are losing even though walking is a lot more space-efficient and green than driving. Check out the video above, it's obvious that he's passionate about this, and I think it would be hard not to be convinced by his arguments. If you live in a city where the same thing is happening, send this video to your representatives! Via StreetFilms. See also: Good Video of San Francisco's Last Sunday Streets of 2009
