The Week in Pictures: Thick Layer Of Oil Found on Gulf of Mexico Seafloor, New York Green Fashion Week, and More (Slideshow)

More bad news has surfaced about the BP oil spill: the Mississippi River has been clogged with thousands of dead fish in it's wake and researchers have discovered that a lot of the oil that some thought had evaporated has actually just settled on the Gulf of Mexico seafloor. In other unsettling green news this week, 10,000+ walruses have come ashore in northwest Alaska; for the first time a non-Russian flagged commercial bulk carrier will use the Northern Sea Route (the northeast passage); the U.S. Clean Air Act celebrates it's 40th birthday, and in New York, designers show their ethical spring 2011 collections at Green Fashion Week. We give you a front row seat to all the eco-fabulous shows, and more, in our weekly roundup of the most popular and most bazaar headlines in our slideshow, below.
