Sundance Organic SWAG

We knew all about Greenloop's Sundance spectacular, but there was more eco-exaltation in Park City this week. Zeitgeist-tapper trendcentral noted corporate promotion of indie directors, actors and films; free and live music; and earth-friendly SWAG (aka "Shit we all get" for ridiculously wealthy trendsetters who don't need free stuff) among the marketing trends at this year's film fete. Check out the greeny hype and freebies:

"• Kari Feinstein's Style Lounge, sponsored by the Children's Health Environmental Coalition, was outfitted completely with furniture and décor by Organic Interior Design's Kelly LaPlante, who used sustainable, recycled, and organic materials. Also on hand were organic and 100% vegan skincare products from Perfect Organics.

• The North Face Ski Lodge featured The Conservation Fund's GoZero campaign, a program that allows individuals to reimburse Mother Nature for some of life's "eco-indulgences". The "Carbon Zero" calculator measures emissions of home energy use, auto and plane travel and then calculates the number of trees that must be planted each year to offset a person's impact on climate change. Users can make a charitable contribution of $2/tree, which helps support the Fund's Carbon Sequestration tree planting program.

• GM provided 2007 Chevy Tahoes featuring clean, renewable fuel technology to transport celebrities around town. The vehicles, equipped with E85 capable engines, run on a combination of 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline, making them one of the most fuel-efficient SUVs on the market."
