Liquid Gold: Urine For A Surprise

Remember when you first learned that manure (cow poop, eeeewwww) was used to fertilize farmer's fields, and it totally freaked you out? Well, prepare for a similar awakening. It turns out that you're flushing away oodles of great plant food with every bathroom break. The Ammonia in urine has tons of great nitrogen, the active ingredient in fertilizers, and according to the book, a great way to get your plants perked up. Not only that, a reduced flushing away of urine is a reduced waste of fresh water, which is shaping up to be the next big deal. In any case, this is an interesting read. If only there was a more...elegant way to get the urine from you to the garden. We'll work on that part. :: Liquid Gold [by DM]
