In New York today, more than seventy-five restaurants and food trucks and sixty shopping, fashion, and gift vendors are taking to the streets for the Grub Street Food Festival and the first-ever Grub Street Beer Garden (and no, it's not associated with Occupy Wall Street).

From the folks at Hester Street Fair and New York Magazine, the annual event is three times bigger than the weekly fair today, occupying the the adjacent tennis courts with plenty of seating and a beer garden. Plus, a steady stream of fresh DJ jams from the folks at Santos Party House set the tune for an an entertaining time while you mingle and dance your way through the festival starting at 10am today:

You can expect epicurean delights like lobster rolls from Luke's Lobster, treats from Wonder City Coffee and Donut Bar, and barbecue from Daisy Dukes. And on the fashion end, you can shop casual wear made with unclaimed textiles by House of Reboot, hand-made vintage inspired clothing by Housewives on Fire, accessories and gifts from Marquet Fair Trade, and more.

All the fun starts at 10am this morning and runs until 6pm. Entry is free and the event is open to the public. Located at the corner of Hester St and Essex St, the Hester Street Fair is easily accessible using the F, J, M, and Z lines. Check out the map (pdf) to locate your favorite vendors.
