Get ZeroWasted Pub Crawl & Sustainable Scavenger Hunt this Saturday in San Fran

Don't have plans for saturday night? You do now, with the Zerowasted Bar Crawl going on Saturday, September 19 in the Mission. Join fellow TreeHuggers and beer-lovers alike as you try your wits at their sustainable scavenger hunt. Bonus: no cover. Find out where after the jump.Get your drink on from 4-8pm this saturday at Elixir, Doc's Clocks and Cassanova, three of the greenest bars in the Mission District. There will be drink discounts, auction items, and even better, a sustainable scavenger hunt through all 3 bars to keep you on your toes.

Here is the skinny on the schedule:

Doc's Clock: 4 pm
Casanova: 5:30 pm
Elixir: 7 pm

The event is being organized and sponsored by sustainability consultants Green & Tonic. Green & Tonic work specifically with the bar industry to green their practices, and their beer. From improving recycling to ensuring bars are compliant with San Francisco's new composting regulations, Green & Tonic works specifically on bar related issues, and gets to plan fun events at the same time.

Aside from the fun and games, the money raised from games and scavenger hunt will go to fund the next Carrotmob event. The Green and Tonic gang plans to host a Carrotmob to encourage another bar to go green and the money will be used as seed money for retrofits.
