I am just wondering why so many "green" thinking people have not switched to solar and wind power for their homes? It was costly before but now a 5kw system is under $10,000 and even less with the 30% fed and state rebates. I live in a solar cabin I designed and built for under $2000...I would really like to know why more people claiming to care about the environment are not making the move to off-grid living?
