From the Forums: Natural Easter Egg Dyes

TreeHuggerForever is looking for some tips:

I want to use natural dyes on my Easter eggs this year rather than the synthetic tablets. I have googled a few sites but a lot of their suggestions have to be boiled...Any ideas of stuff I could use that does not need to be boiled? Or could I just microwave hot water, and say, stick lemon peel or spinach in it and let it steep, like tea?
