Don't Over-Package or You'll End Up As a Warning Ad!

The folks at Great Works came up with a great idea to vent frustrations at being a shipment that fully falls into the realm of sinful overpackaing. They created an "ad" about the comapny, Iittala, that sent them a jaw-dropping delivery. Inside six massive boxes were six little boxes. Everything could have been sent in one box, or even if ordered separately, in significantly smaller boxes with far less packaging.

Unnecessarily big boxes = less room on freight vehicles = bigger footprint = frustrated consumers = your name on an ad hanging in an office space.

The recipients made this into a poster to hang in the office, which no doubt inspires both shaking heads, and a desire to do more with less. It's and image that definitely should end up in our slide show of images that drive us nuts.
