Cyclists and Stop Signs: Why not Make Traffic Control More Bike Friendly?
April writes that "In order to not aggravate the 'us' versus 'them' mentality that bikes on the road create in motorists' minds, it is important for cyclists to follow laws to the best of their ability." But those laws were written to control cars, not bikes. Why are there four way stops on every corner? Speed control. Two way stops used to work fine for safety. So instead of complaining that cyclists blow through stop signs, why not get rid of the useless signs and do more bike-friendly ways of traffic management?
