Canadian Environment Awards 2005

Since 2002, the Canadian Environment Awards has been giving public recognition to Canadians who work to protect and restore the environment. This year the gala evening will be held on June 6, 2005, at the Liberty Grand in Toronto and there are three main categories: Community Awards, Citation of Lifetime Achievement and the Green Team Challenge (a youth initiative award). We already know that the Lifetime Achievement award will go to David Suzuki, but the other categories are still up in the air. You can see the Community Awards finalists here (there are 6 categories) with a description of what they did to get nominated. TreeHugger congratulates all the finalists.
