If you're in the New York/ New Jersey area tonight head over to beach cleanup and free benefit Beach Rescue Concert (ages 21+) featuring music artists Joss Stone, Gavin DeGraw, Cold War Kids, and Mason Jennings at Convention Hall in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Under 21? Get your hands sandy before the concert with the Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project in the final cleanup of the summer from 2-4 pm. You must RSVP - click through for details. The Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project in partnership with the Surfrider Foundation -- an organization commited to protecting the world's oceans and beaches -- has hosted over 25 beach cleanups across the country this summer. All volunteers who are 21+ will receive VIP credentials for the show and when you RSVP online at Beach Rescue Concert you'll get a gift from Gavin DeGraw - a free download of his hit songs Stay, Dancing Shoes or Indian Summer. Reverb Rock is helping green the concert with onsite composting and recycling, biodegradable and compostable products, organic cotton t-shirts, organic and locally-sourced food, reusable water bottles, and neutralizing CO2 emissions through carbon offsets.

The cleanup and concert -- relocated to Convention Hall from The Stone Pony -- will both be held rain or shine but check your e-mail in the case of severe weather - or tropical storm Danny. Visit Beach Rescue Concert for concert and cleanup details and Reverb Rock for the event eco-guide and car pooling program.
