In New York City Monday night, actor and environmental activist Adrian Grenier hosted charity: water's annual ball to benefit the non-profit's global clean water projects.

The star-studded gala, attended by eco-model Summer Rayne Oakes, Mad Men's John Slattery, model Jessica Stam, and more, raised over $1 million in one evening, with 100% of all donations directly funding projects in the field.

Guests engaged with interactive and informative exhibits, including a Waterwalk which gave attendees an opportunity to see what it's like to carry two 40lb jerry cans of water a distance of 52 feet--a fraction of what some people in Africa might walk to gather enough water for cooking, cleaning, and drinking.
