A Slice of Solar Powered Cake

Cake (player of songs such as The Distance, Never There and the remake of I Will Survive) is showing their support for solar by installing a photovoltaic (PV) system on the roof of their recording studio in Sacramento, CA. Their sixth album is being recorded with 100% solar energy. The solar system was installed by Borrego Solar. To see more about the installation, you can check out the video Cake made and check out the various pictures highlighting the new system. The video is actually pretty interesting, whether you like their music or not, to see how a solar system goes up and the different steps involved - all set to a Cake soundtrack, of course. To further promote "green," the band also has a link on their website to help concertgoers find carpools going to the concerts.:Cake
