a little house of my own

If you liked Thoreau's cabin at Walden Pond, you will love Lester Walker's book, which includes photographs, furniture layouts, elevations, plans and the story behind "47 grand designs for 47 tiny houses". They run the gamut from Thomas Jefferson's honeymoon cottage, San Francisco earthquake refugee shacks (some of which are still inhabited)and George Bernard Shaw's writing hut to newer prefabs and recycled cabins. You just want to hug every one of them.::Amazon
