Photo via Bloggers MusicIn April, R&B; singer Gladys Knight announced plans for her own eco-friendly jewelry line in conjunction with Robert Rose Jewelry; the singer has taken the lead on designing the pieces, and the company plans to use Earth-friendly materials including "recycled glass, Fair Trade beads, and parts made from Tagua nuts (a sustainable rainforest crop often referred to as vegetable ivory)," according to the press release. While we'll have to wait until December to see the finished product in department stores and on the Home Shopping Network, here's to hoping environmental concerns remain a factor in all stages of the line's development.
