Why Is Camping In The Park Illegal, But Camping At Best Buy Is Just Fine?

The New York Times has an article on Black Friday and Xeni complains about the photo in a tweet:

As predicted: front page photo in NYT today show tents set up overnight outside a Best Buy--no hassle from cops or store.

She has a point; where are the cops, complaining about people camping? Where's the pepper spray? (Aisle 5) Anatole France was wrong when he wrote:

The law, in its majestic equality, forbids the rich and the poor alike to sleep under bridges, to beg in the streets, and to steal bread.

If you have money, even just enough for a discounted hi-def TV, and are willing to spend it, the law treats you differently. What a surprise on this Thanksgiving day.
