Obama Bans New Offshore Drilling Until Investigation on Gulf Spill Complete

As the Gulf of Mexico oil spill continues to spread, and the Coast Guard investigating reports that oil has begun washing ashore in Louisiana, President Obama has banned new offshore oil drilling. White House advisor David Axelrod told ABC News there will be no new drilling until "there is an adequate review of what happened here and what is being proposed elsewhere."Axelrod went onto to say:

All [the President] has said is that he's not going to continue to moratorium on drilling but...no additional drilling has been authorized and none will until we find out what happened here and whether there was something unique and preventable here.

Go to ABC News for video of Axelrod. I'd embed it but it's set to autoplay and we all know how annoying that is...
